Chuu-Chuu Chamber | Leslie Ferrarti & Gregor
Welcome to the Chuu-Chuu Chamber!
The crew lets you into surprisingly lovely bedroom, the scent of flora light and romantic. Outside of the decor, there's also a large timer on the wall.
The timer starts at 5 minutes, and the crew will helpfully inform both of you that unless you start kissing, getting handsy, so and so forth before your time is up... you'll be kicked out of the room!
If you do, you'll find, the timer then starts over -- at 4 minutes!
Then 3.
Then 2...
And so on and so forth, until there isn't any time at all between activities. Better get busy!

[he says as he settles in on the bed with a sigh, trying to get at least somewhat comfortable.]
But I guess we work with what we've got.

I just-- didn't want to leave you with the wrong impression about... why I said what I said, about my arm.

Thinking that, she takes up her seat beside him, though not so closely as to give him space without being too far apart.]
There's a whole story behind it, right?
no subject
Yeah, there is. But most of it is that it's not-- just an arm.
You know I can't really use a regular weapon like this, right? It is one.
no subject
Anyway, she drops her gaze to the arm in question.]
I can see how that might be the case.

[he doesn't look directly at her, eyes downcast. it may be easier to speak of now, after his experiences on the ship, but that doesn't make it easy to begin with.]
So especially if we're matched up here, it... I don't want to make assumptions for you or anything, but I didn't want to leave you thinking it's just what it looks like. I don't know everything about it.
[not that he could guess her thoughts on him, or whether she'd want to try to pursue anything, or even whether her eyes are elsewhere-- he doesn't know what he's doing, himself.]

It doesn't change a lot, even if it raises certain questions. When one's arm looks a certain way, one has to adapt to life with its peculiar functionality.]
Is that why you came here? To do something or learn more about it?

[he can't do something about the only thing he can fight with, anyway, and he does have his contract to fulfill... he couldn't just walk away from the rest of the lcb.]

Then you're here to meet someone.

You didn't sign on for that stuff. Playing for someone else's wish just means you're being considerate: It only becomes selfish once you jeopardize others in the process.

If I end up losing control over this thing again, it's gonna put people around me in danger. If they ended up in the City with me, they'd be in more danger than wherever they come from, most likely.

[She glances at the timer. The deadline is creeping up on them. Where should she buy time . . . ?]
You don't want to bring someone when either of you is unprepared. That'd be irresponsible. But if both sides know what they're getting into, I think it'll be okay.
